CP Delight Chicken Breast Revie from 7-Eleven Thailand

Hey there, fellow foodies!

I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Thailand, and let me tell you, it was a culinary dream come true. From the bustling streets of Bangkok to the pristine beaches of Phuket, there's no shortage of delicious eats to be found.

And as a self-proclaimed food sleuth, I was determined to try as many local specialties as possible. But what I didn't expect to discover was a range of convenience store chicken breasts that would actually turn out to be pretty great!

Yes, you heard that right - a convenience store chicken breast that's actually pretty good! It's called CP Delight, and let me tell you, the Delight range is indeed delightful.

Stay tuned for my review of these ready-to-eat chicken breasts - it's a taste sensation you won't want to miss!

What Are CP Delight Chicken Breasts?

CP is a hugely popular company in Thailand and it owns many brands including the supermarket chain Lotus's and 7-Eleven.

Beside owning many other brands, they also produce a fantastic range of different foods - from soups, to noodles, and everything in between.

The 'Delight' brand is used by CP for its range of ready-to-eat chicken products, and they are actually pretty good!

Each CP Delight chicken breast is individually wrapped and comes pre-cooked, making them easy to grab and go. Each breast costs only 40 baht, although you can buy the original ones in a double pack which is better value at 76 baht for two, if you like plain!

The staff at 7-Eleven will even microwave it for you if you want, or you can microwave it at home later.

With a range of flavors to choose from, including plain, black pepper, garlic, and chili, there's something for everyone, and they cost just 40 baht!

By the way, you can buy the original ones in a double pack which is better value at 76 baht for two, if you like plain!

Just look at that succulent, juicy chicken breast, perfectly seasoned with a hint of garlic and pepper. Mmm... my taste buds are doing the happy dance just thinking about it!

But, before I dive into the taste and texture (which, trust me, is divine!), let's take a closer look at the ingredients and nutritional info, shall we? 🤔

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast (82%): Ah, the star of the show! The tender and juicy chicken breast is the main event, and I'm loving the high protein content! 💪
  • Seasonings (15%): A blend of magic spices that adds a delightful flavor profile. I'm guessing it's a secret recipe, but I'm sure the garlic and pepper are the main players here 😉
  • Garlic (2%): Ah, yes! The subtle pungency of garlic adds a nice depth to the dish. I'm a garlic lover, so this is a big plus for me! 💡
  • Pepper (1%): A hint of peppery goodness to round out the flavors. I love the subtle kick it adds! ❤️

Nutritional Info (per 80g serving):

• Total Energy: 80kcal (nice and light, perfect for a snack or add to a meal!)
• Total Fat: 0.5g (super lean, folks! 👍)
• Saturated Fat: 0g (woo-hoo, my heart is happy ❤️)
• Cholesterol: 5mg (super low, yay!)
• Protein: 17g (hello, muscle building and satisfaction! 💪)
• Whole Carbs: 3g (nice and low, great for low-carb diets!)
• Dietary Fiber: less than 1g (ah, a teensy bit, but still a good addition!)

Now, let's talk about the taste and texture...

My Taste Test

Well, I've got to say, I was pleasantly surprised. You might not think that microwaved chicken breast would be very nice, but the chicken is sealed with quite a bit of juice so it comes out quite tender, almost like it's been steamed!

The chili and garlic flavor was mild and delicious, and not overpowering. I tried it on its own and with a salad, and it was great either way. But my favorite combination has to be with a Caesar salad - it's the perfect match.

The black pepper chicken is so tender, it practically melts in your mouth. The garlic and pepper add a delightful aroma and flavor that complements the chicken perfectly. It's like a symphony of flavors, folks!

Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with the CP Delight Tender Chicken breast with Garlic and Pepper. Not only is it delicious, but it's also a nutritional powerhouse. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty and healthy snack or addition to their meals!

Conclusion

Overall, I think these chicken breasts are a fantastic way to get 18 grams of high quality protein with minimal effort and - containing zero sugar - they are almost better than buying protein shakes!

In terms of quality, 18 grams for protein for 40 baht isn't exactly stunning; you can buy Hooray! protein drinks with 31 grams of protein for 49 baht, os 42.5 baht if they are running a promotion (2 for 85 baht).

But if you compare these chicken breast with, say, Kleens Chicken Breast smoothie which has 30 grams of protein for 79 baht, the chicken breast win hands down. You could buy two plain chicken breasts for 76 baht and get 36 grams of protein!

Thanks for reading, everyone! If you're looking for a quick, easy, and delicious meal, be sure to try CP Delight chicken breasts at 7-Eleven.

With their range of flavors and convenient pre-cooked format, they're a great choice for anyone on the go. And at only 40 baht each, they're a steal!
